Domestic Violence Training in Hotel Industry

Luma’s course, Responding to Domestic Violence in the Hospitality Industry, fits a need in the hospitality industry, according to Nancy Brown, an international travel blogger. Nancy Brown travels the world and has been a silent witness to domestic violence in the workplace. You can read Nancy’s writeup of Luma’s course.

I see Domestic Violence in the news every day. At Luma, we are committed to training on such important topics. This is why we formed a partnership with experts from the Chicago Police Department, one of the largest PD’s in the United States, to understand better how to recognize and respond to domestic violence, specifically in the hotel industry. While domestic violence can touch every workplace, I’ve learned how there has been the lack of a comprehensive training to address the issue of domestic violence in hotels and lodging. We believe this training begins to help with this need.
