Important Information Related to the COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard

Starting January 10, 2022, OSHA’s COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) will go into effect for any employer with more than 100 employees.

To provide employers with sufficient time to come into compliance, OSHA will not issue citations for noncompliance with any requirements of the ETS before January 10, and will not issue citations for noncompliance with the standard’s testing requirements before February 9, so long as the employer is exercising reasonable, good faith efforts to come into compliance with the standard. OSHA will work closely with the regulated community to provide compliance assistance.

Did you know that all requirements presented by OSHA on the Emergency Temporary Standard for 100 or more employees can be managed through Luma?

At Luma, we have put together training regarding the COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing ETS for you to learn more. This eNugget® provides employers with information related to the COVID-19 vaccination mandate for businesses with 100 or more employees, communicating how to prepare for compliance. This eNugget® also includes an example template that can be used to create testing and face covering policies, as well as forms that collect information pertaining to COVID-19. If you would like to have this eNugget® copied into your Collection for manager training purposes, please let us know by emailing nugget@learnwithluma.com.

We are here to support you in this effort.

  • Do you need to send out your policy and procedures on vaccinations and face coverings? You can use the template posted in the COVID-19 Vaccination and Emergency Temporary Standard eNugget® to create your policy and share it with your employees directly.
  • Do you need to find out who has been vaccinated and who has not been vaccinated? We have created generic forms that enable you to track employees, and employees can upload an image of the proof of vaccination and test results. You can also always create your own custom forms for tracking purposes.
  • Do you need to schedule ongoing testing records? We can set up an automated process where employees who choose I have not been vaccinated are added to a schedule that periodically resends a testing form. If and when employees get vaccinated, they can change their status and upload their proof of vaccination.
Do you need ongoing reporting? The form data can be sent to you automatically, based on your pre-determined schedule.
  • Do you need to prepare for possible audits? The vaccination status and results are easy to access for the employees, if needed, and for the employers, if audited.
